Natural Kids was founded on the belief that healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and centered around the whole child. We take the time to listen, connect the dots, and create individualized plans that support each child's unique needs.
Our approach blends conventional pediatric care with functional and integrative medicine principles, helping families move beyond symptom management and toward long-term wellness.

Meet the Founder and Provider
Hi, I'm Lauren Cates, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS.
I'm a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Functional Medicine Academy Practitioner, Pediatric Mental Health Specialist, and founder of Natural Kids Pediatric Integrative Medicine.
For more than a decade, I worked in traditional pediatric primary care, caring for thousands of children and families. While I loved helping children, I often found myself wishing I had more time to dig deeper and help families uncover the root causes behind chronic symptoms and complex health concerns.
Then life became personal.
As a mom, I found myself walking through my own children's health challenges and experiencing firsthand what so many parents face—searching for answers, advocating for my children, and navigating a healthcare system that doesn't always have enough time to look deeper.
Those experiences helped shape the vision for Natural Kids.
Today, I help families navigate concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, PANS/PANDAS, autism, chronic illness, gut health challenges, developmental concerns, and immune dysfunction through a compassionate, whole-child approach.
My mission is simple: to help children thrive while supporting parents every step of the journey.
